Ingredients
Potatoes – I recommend using russets for mashed potatoes. They hold up well and the starches elevate the creamy texture.
Butter – Real butter not margarine is needed. You can use salted or unsalted butter.
Heavy Cream – Trust me, this is going to really ramp up the richness.
Smoked Gouda Cheese – I know it might sound like a lot of cheese, but for cheese potatoes you will love the flavor!

Step One: Wash, peel, and dice up your potatoes. Place in a stock pot and fill with water, and add salt if you would like.
Step Two: Bring the potatoes to a boil and cook until the potatoes are fork tender. This can take 10-20 minutes depending on how large or small you diced up your potatoes.
Step Three: Drain the potatoes, and then add potatoes back to the pot. Add in the butter, heavy cream and shredded cheese. Mash or use a hand mixer to whip up until the potatoes are nice and creamy.

Storing Leftovers
If you happen to not eat the rest of your potatoes they will store in the fridge for 3-4 days. Then warm up as you would like.

Ingredients
- 3-4 pounds Russet Potatoes peeled and diced
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup butter sliced
- 8 ounces smoked gouda cheese shredded
