Tips For Making Chicken
You will find using a mix of seasonings, sugar, cornstarch, and flour you can create a batter that will be very close to what you can buy at your favorite restaurant.
While it is not exact, it is as close as I could come. I have tried this recipe a handful of times to try and perfect it before I posted it.
Can I Double This Recipe
Yes, you can double this recipe. You will just want to cook in batches. So with the chicken that has dried off on a paper towel, you can then transfer to a baking sheet and place it in a 200-degree oven.
Lay in a single layer so that it can keep chicken warm. If you overlap it will sog up the breading of the chicken. Enjoy this copycat recipe today, and let me know how you like it.

Can u use chicken breast and a air fryer ?
Kelsey says
I have not tried. I would think if you do, you need to lay out some aluminum foil. The batter is very think so it would drip right through grate.

I haven’t tried it yet as I am combining multiple copycat recipes. A former employee of LJS recommended freezing them after you batter them and before frying. As for the “missing” ingredients I am trying his recommendation that includes old bay seasoning, MSG (accent) and a tsp of white vinegar. Hope this works!!!! If I remember to, I’ll come back and let you know!!!!!

I just tried it. The additional seasonings were amazing! However, despite what the LJS employee told me, don’t freeze after breading. Cook fresh!!!!!
