Ingredients
All Purpose Flour – You will cook the flour to kill off any harmful bacteria. That will make this a safe raw dough to eat.
Unsalted Butter – Make sure to use real butter not margarine. If you use salted butter then omit the salt in the recipe.
White Sugar – Granulated sugar is the sweetener to the cookie dough. If you wanted to make sugar free use your favorite artificial sweetener.
Milk – Regular milk or even a plant based milk will work.
Vanilla Extract and Almond Extract – I love both of these extracts. They will help to really give you that perfect sugar cookie flavor.
Salt – The salt is going to bring out tons of flavor to the cookie dough.
Sprinkles – Optional but highly recommended! I love the sprinkles in it.

Expert Tips for Success
- You can use a hand mixer to blend up the butter and sugar. If not use a whisk and make sure to mix well. The electric mixer will help speed up the process and give your mixture that light color that is ultra fluffy.
- Pre-cooking the flour is a must, as flour contains dangerous bacteria that can make you sick if you eat it raw. So baking the flour first ensures this is an edible cookie dough recipe.
- This is not a regular cookie dough where you bake the dough for actual cookies. This is a sweet treat you eat uncooked.
- Add in some white chocolate chips to sweeten it up even more.
- Break up candies and stir in the dough instead of sprinkles.
- Try out any type of different mix-ins to create a delicious twist to your favorite cookies. Peanut butter, chocolate chips, and so much more can be added.
- Make small balls of sugar cookie dough and place on ice cream to elevate the dough even more.
Storing Leftovers
Refrigerate: Store this dough in an airtight container in the fridge. It will store for up to a week in the fridge. This is a fun treat that you can go take a scoop or two out of it when you get a craving for sweet.
Freezing: You can also freeze this dough. Place the cookie dough in a freezer-safe container or wrap in plastic wrap and place in a freezer bag. Freeze for 2-3 months. When you are ready to eat thaw in the fridge overnight.
One thing I like to do when freezing and make cookie dough balls, that way if I don’t want to thaw it all out I can grab just what I want.
