Helpful Tips
Here are tips and tricks for this candy corn rice krispies treats recipe.
- Place your crispy cereal mixture with gooey marshmallows in a prepared pan. You can place parchment paper in the baking dish, wax paper, or grease it. This will help for removing the treats once cut.
- If you spray some non-stick spray on your hands you can use that to press down the cereal treats in the pan, and not have the rice cereal mixture stick to your hands.
- The treats need to be pressed into the pan a bit, to help ensure the cereal will stick together. Otherwise it can fall apart, so best results are lightly press into the pan.
- I used white candy melts and chocolate melts, that way they set up hard and wouldn’t make a mess on your hands.
- Feel free to change up to different colors if you want. I wanted to give it a fun Halloween theme.
- Toss in some fun candy corn candies to mix in with the orange portion of cereal. This will add extra flavor.
- Add a pinch of salt at the end this will really elevate the flavors of the cereal and marshmallows making tasty treats everyone can get on board with.

These deliciously sweet Halloween treats can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container. They will store for up to a week. You can also freeze any of the treats if you don’t want to eat right away. Just place in a freezer friendly container or bag and freeze for 3-4 months.
