Sweet, salty, and a hint of spook is what you will find in these monster Halloween pretzels! A kid friendly Halloween treat that takes minutes to make. My son loved helping make these purple one-eyed monster pretzels. These are not the pretzel rods but you could easily swap to them. I used square pretzels and candy eyes to make these fun treats.

Ingredients
Purple Candy Melts – You can buy these candy melt wafers at your grocery store or shop online. They have all different colors, so feel free to do any colors you want. I love purple, green, and orange. They work great for the Halloween themed treat.
Square Pretzels – The square pretzels help to hold all the chocolate on top of the pretzel.
Candy Googly Eyes – I used a large candy eye for each of these Halloween pretzels. You could always change it up and add in two if you want.

Step Five: Add on the candy eye, and let them cool and then serve up these Halloween pretzels.
Tips and Variations
If you are planning these for upcoming Halloween parties let me share some tip and even ways to change up this homemade treat. The good news is these are easy and a sweet chocolate Halloween pretzels recipe.
- You don’t want to melt the candy wafers in the oven. You just want them to be soft enough to press the candy eye in the center.
- Add melted chocolate to a disposable piping bag and add white chocolate chips in the bag. Then add a strip at the top of chocolate and top with black jimmies to mimic hair.
- Use wax paper, parchment or another form to prevent pretzels and chocolate from sticking to pan. The excess chocolate can melt a little and then make it hard to get off the pan.
- You can use a white chocolate candy wafer and drizzle with white chocolate to make mummy pretzels.
- Instead of candy melts you could use bite-sized candy bars or even Rolos to place on top to change up the flavor.
- Green candy melts could be a Frankenstein or green monster.
- These would be great to place on a Halloween board that is fully of desserts.
- Make sure to use a lined cookie sheet so they pretzels don’t fall off pan in oven.
Storing
You will store your pretzels in an airtight container on the counter for up to two weeks. They last for quite awhile and are great for snacking on! You can also freeze the pretzels for 1-2 months if you would like. Just thaw on the counter before eating.
