Oreo Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Butter softened
- 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
- 2 Medium-sized Bananas overripe
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
- 6 OREOs chopped
Oreo Glaze
- 1 cup Powdered Icing Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extrac
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter, oil and 3/4 cup of the white sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the bananas and egg, then the dry ingredients, followed by the milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow banana bread to cool completely before preparing the vanilla glaze. Remove from loaf pan and set on a cooling rack or cutting board.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered icing sugar, milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the glaze over the cooled banana bread and then immediately sprinkle the crushed OREOs over top.
- Allow glaze to set for 30 minutes before storing or serving.
