Ingredients List
Pork Chops – You will want to use either a boneless or bone-in pork chop. Bone-in I find stays juicy where boneless can dry out a bit easier.
Beef Consomme – You can find this in the canned soup area of the grocery store. It is going to add so much richness to the pork and rice dish.
French Onion Soup Mix – Reach for a packet of onion soup mix. This will really enhance the flavor of the rice completely.
White Rice – Now I used a long grain white rice. But you can swap it out with a different variety of rice but you will need to adjust the water to rice ratio and cook time.
Butter – You will slice up half a stick of butter and place on top of the rice. This is going to give the rice a richer flavor, and of course the pork chops as well.
Salt and Pepper – You will lightly season the pork chops before baking. I just did a little salt and black pepper.
Worcestershire Sauce – This is going to deepen the flavor of this pork chop dinner.

How to Make
Full steps on how to make pork chops and rice are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post. This is a quick visual walk through on how to make this baked pork chops.
Step One: First you are going to preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Then spray pan with cooking spray.

Step Three: Slice your butter into thin cubes and place over the rice bake in the pan.

Step Four: Top the rice mixture with your pork chops. Then season with salt and pepper.
Step Five: Cover with aluminum foil and bake as directed. Once the pork chops and rice casserole is done dish up and enjoy.
Then dish up these tender pork chops and rice for an easy dinner idea.
Recipe Notes:
Make sure you cover the casserole dish tightly with aluminum foil. Otherwise it will not cook your rice or chops properly.
You can use bone-in pork chops or boneless chops for this baked pork chop recipe. Just know that depending on thickness and if there is a bone the cook time can vary. For thicker chops add more cook time to the dish.
Feel free to change up how you season your pork chops if you want. Season salt, garlic powder, onion powder, are all great options.
If you want a sear on the pork chops just season and then sear them in a skillet with hot oil on medium-high heat. Then place in the casserole dish. This will enhance the flavor of the chops and give a nice crust to the pork.
Storing Leftovers
So if you have leftovers you can store the pork and rice casserole in an airtight container in the fridge. The leftovers reheat pretty well. Warm in the microwave or cover with foil and bake in the oven until it is heated through.
I do find you can freeze the leftovers as well. The one thing to note is the rice will become a lot softer once it has been frozen and thawed. I find the tender rice tastes best fresh or reheated from the microwave and not frozen. But it is up to you if you want to try and freeze.
