Expert Tips

  • You can use any flavor of cake mix. Just know it will alter the flavor of the cookies. Try yellow cake mix chocolate chip cookies for a fun change.
  • Don’t overmix the batter.
  • Leave space between the cookies, as they will spread out as they bake.
  • Don’t overbake the cake box cookies, or it will dry out the cookies and make them crispy on the edges.
  • I recommend using a cookie scoop to ensure all your cookies bake evenly. You don’t want some smaller than others, or you will get an uneven cook on your cookies.
