👩🍳Tips for Success
- Choose the right sweet potatoes: Look for sweet potatoes that are firm and have smooth skin without any cracks or soft spots. The best sweet potatoes for making fries are those that are long and thin.
- Peel sweet potatoes: Sweet potato skins are going to be chewy so make sure to peel your potatoes before you go to slice them.
- Cut the sweet potatoes into uniform pieces: It’s important to cut the sweet potatoes into uniform pieces so that they cook evenly. Try to cut them into thin sticks, about 1/4 inch wide.
- Preheat the air fryer: Whether you’re air frying the sweet potato fries, make sure the oven or oil is preheated to the right temperature before adding the fries. This will help them cook evenly and prevent sticking.
🧂Storing
These fries are best served fresh from the air fryer. But you can store the fries in the fridge for 1-2 days. Then just reheat in the microwave, air fryer, or even in the oven. If you warm it up in the oven or air fryer it will have a better texture.
