This Reindeer Hot Chocolate Cones Recipe Is..
- Fun gift idea

- Adds a little holiday cheer
- Easy Christmas crafts kids can make
- Great for Christmas Party
Ingredients and Supplies Needed
Triangle Treat Bags – You can find these at craft stores, sometimes during the holiday season at grocery stores or shop online.
Hot Chocolate – So I used packet hot chocolate to make this easy. But you are more than welcome to use any flavor or make homemade hot chocolate.
Mini Chocolate Chips – This is going to add some nice sweetness to the hot chocolate!
Mini Marshmallows – You can use marshmallows that are fresh or dehydrated marshmallows if you prefer.
Pom Pom Balls – I found these at our Dollar store but you can shop online or find at a craft store.
Googly Eyes – I used the bigger eyes but any size eyes work.
Pipe Cleaners – I used brown pipe cleaners for the antlers.
Glue and Scissors – You will glue the eyes on along with nose. Then scissors to trim the pipe cleaners.
How to Make
Full steps on how to make these reindeer hot chocolate cones are in the printable recipe card. This is a visual walk through for you to see how it is made.
Step One: Place one of the treat bags inside a cup, and fold it over. This works great for holding the bag in place.
Step Two: Add your hot chocolate into the cone bag.
Step Three: Add on some of the mini chocolate chips. Then top with marshmallows.
Step Four: You will then use a twist tie that came with bags to tie the bag together.
Step Five: Now you will glue on the eyes and pom pom nose. Allow time for the glue to dry.
Step Six: Next fold a pipe cleaner in half, and wrap around the twist tie, to shape antlers. If the pipe cleaner is too long, just trim it.
Storing
Store your reindeer hot cocoa cones in a cool dry place. Then you can gift to loved ones anytime you want. This is the cutest gift idea, all they have to do is add 1 cup of water or milk in a cup and pour in the hot chocolate envelope mix and stir. Then they have a delicious hot chocolate with a layer of marshmallows on top.
These will store for 2-3 weeks easily. Just make sure it isn’t too warm and it melts the chocolate.
Variations to Recipe
- At the top of the bag add some crushed candy cane or peppermints. This will add a minty twist to the hot chocolate.
- Use any flavor of hot chocolate you want. White hot chocolate, dark hot chocolate, or flavored.
- Grab a reindeer gift cup or even a holiday coffee cup to place the reindeer cone in, for an added gift idea.
- Add a fun printable tag sharing how to make it, or a fun holiday quote.
- Add in some holiday sprinkles (that melt easy) for a festive touch.
- You can skip the reindeer antlers and add ribbon instead.
