Peanut Butter Banana Bread is a twist to a classic banana bread. The banana bread has peanut butter and Reese's Pieces in each bite. This frosted banana bread is a delicious dessert you have to try out soon.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan and set it aside.
In a small bowl whisk your flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir and set it aside.
Next in a bowl you are going to beat your butter and granulated sugar and brown sugar. Mix until fluffy and well mixed. This takes 2-3 minutes on medium speed.
Add in the bananas and egg, mixing well. You want to remove all the large lumps of banana in the mixture.
Pour in the vanilla extract and milk, mixing in. Then slowly add in the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
Once mixed stir in the Reese's Pieces and peanut butter chips.
Pour into the loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until the banana bread is fully cooked. Then place on a cooling rack to cool.
Next you will mix up the powdered sugar, peanut butter, and milk. Once well mixed you will spread evenly over the top of the banana bread. Then top with crushed Reese's Pieces.
Notes
Peanut Butter- I used a creamy peanut butter but you can use a chunky peanut butter. Bananas - Your bananas needs to be brown spotted and fully ripe. Otherwise the banana will not have the flavor of banana. Frosting - The frosting is optional, you do not have to top the bread with frosting.
