Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 stick of salted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of milk whole
  • 1 cup of flour self rising
  • 1 can of peaches 15 oz, drained

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then place your stick of butter in a 9x13 pan and place in the oven to allow it to melt.
  • While the butter is melting, you will grab a medium mixing bowl and add your milk sugar and flour. Mix well.
  • Once butter is melted remove the pan from the oven. Pour the wet batter all over the butter. DO NOT MIX.
  • Then you will take your drained peaches and spread all over the top of the wet batter and butter.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until it is golden brown and the batter is fully cooked and no wet batter shows if you stick a toothpick in the batter.
  • Serve warm! We love adding ice cream or whipped cream on top.

Notes

Fresh or Frozen: If you don't want to use canned peaches go right ahead and use fresh peaches or frozen peaches. Place frozen peaches on straight from freezer. Peel fresh peaches first.
Sugar - You can use less sugar for a lighter cobbler, or swap with your favorite sweetener if you don't want the added sugar.
Drain Peaches - Make sure to drain the peaches before you place them on top of the cobbler.
Do not stir- The cobbler batter will rise up and bake into the peaches. Stirring will affect the overall texture of the cobbler.
