Preheat the oven to 160 degrees F. Then line your cookie sheet with parchment paper or use a silicone baking mat.
Next in a stand mixer or large bowl add your egg whites and cream of tartar. Whip for about 30 seconds to create a foam appearance.
Next add in the granulated sugar a little at a time. Getting it all mixed in. Then you will beat the mixture until it forms stiff peaks.
Transfer the meringue to a piping bag with a round tip. Leave some out and color purple to pipe on the ear muffs and scarves.
Pipe two circles on the prepared cookie sheet. One circle will be smaller than the other. Make sure the two circles are touching.
Then with the purple meringue you will pipe on circles and create the earmuffs, then pipe on a scarf around the neck.
I used sprinkles to make eyes, nose, and buttons on the belly of the meringue.
Place in the prepared oven and bake until the meringue cookies are dry, this can take around 1 1/2- 2 hours.
The cookies are done when they are dry to touch and the cookies lifts off the baking sheet easily.
