Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 small box Orange Jell-O 3.5 oz size
  • 2 Packets Unflavored Gelatin
  • 2 Cups Boiling Water
  • ¾ Cup Cold Water divided
  • 1 Cup Vodka or a flavored Whipped Cream Vodka both work great
  • ¼ Cup Simple Syrup equal parts sugar and water
  • 2 tablespoons Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • ½ Teaspoon Black Gel Food Coloring
  • Green Sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Start out by placing your jello shot cups on a baking sheet that is rimmed. This will make moving them around easy.
  • Next add 1 cup of water into a pan and heat until it boils. Then add in the orange jello and remove from the heat. Stir constantly for 2 minutes to help dissolve all the jello.
  • Once the jello is dissolved, add in 1/2 cup vodka, 1/2 cup cold water, and black food dye. Stir well to make sure well mixed.
  • Pour the black jello into the jello cups. Air for about a quarter of the way full. Then place the jello cups in the fridge and let them set up for 30 minutes.
  • Once the black is set up, you will start on the white. Add 1 cup of water into pan and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and add in the unflavored gelatin, and then add in 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk, vodka, and 1/4 cup cold water. Stir to combine.
  • Pour the white mixture on top of the black, a small portion. Then refrigerate 30 minutes.
  • Next, you will repeat another layer of black and white so there are 4 layers total. Then right before serving top with green sprinkles and serve the Halloween jello shots.

Notes

Flavor of Jello - I used orange jello flavor but you can use any flavor of jello you want.
Alcohol - You could swap vodka with rum or even another type of alcohol if you want.
