Serve up this crockpot hashbrown casserole for a side dish this week. Frozen hashbrown, condensed cheese soup, sour cream and more all cooked to cheesy perfection. A crockpot holiday side dish or weeknight side dish. A cheesy potato casserole that is a total comfort food.
Pour your hashbrowns into the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a bowl add the sour cream, soup, shredded cheese and spices. Mix well.
Stir in the mixture to the hashbrowns. Then cover and cook on high for 1 hour.
Remove lid and stir well at the 1 hour mark. Then cover again and cook another 2-3 hours.
Once done serve and enjoy.
Notes
Hashbrowns - You can use frozen hashbrowns, or cubed hashbrowns. They can be frozen still, you don't have to thaw first. Soup - I used cheddar cheese soup but you can swap with a crema of mushroom or celery soup if you want. Cheese - Any variety of cheese you enjoy works. Cheddar or sharp cheddar works best.
