The Best Pumpkin Squares

A delicious recipe for fall, that is sweet and festive. Easy pumpkin squares are great to serve up your friends and family for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 9 x13 parchment paper lined a baking dish
  • 1 C unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 1/4 C sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 C canned pumpkin puree
  • 3 1/4 C flour
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Frosting

  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 C unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 C powder sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Fall Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Then in a stand mixer cream your butter, sugar until light and creamy.
  • Add in your eggs, one at a time, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract.
  • Then in a large bowl, add in your flour, pumpkin spire, baking powder, and salt, whisk and sit aside.
  • Then as you are slowly blending your mixture, work in your dry flour mix.
  • Pour batter into the pan, and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a cooling rack.
  • Once your pumpkin bars are cooled, start making your frosting.
  • Cream together butter, vanilla, and cream cheese until blended.
  • Add in your powdered sugar and cinnamon and mix until light and fluffy.
  • Spread frosting on cooled pumpkin bars, and then sprinkle with your sprinkles.
