Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup mayonnaise as needed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill optional
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 8- count canister Pillsbury crescent dough
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Then line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Then in a bowl dice up your broccoli head, toss in your diced pepper, shredded cheese, mayonnaise, pepper, salt, and dill. Mix well.
  • Roll out your crescent roll dough into a long line, press the creases together to form a large continous piece of dough.
  • Pour the broccoli mixture in the center leaving room on the edges to fold in.
  • Take a pizza cutter or knife and make 1 1/2" to 2" cuts every 1" or so along the vertical sides.
  • Now take your strips of dough and bring them into the center. You can fold them a bit overlapping making it a braided look.
  • Place egg whites in a bowl and brush over the whole broccoli braid. Top with almonds if you would like.
  • Bake for 24-28 minutes or until golden brown.
