Ingredients

  • 18 ounces chocolate tempered
  • optional mix-ins - toffee bits, cookie crumbles, caramel bits, etc.
  • 1/2 cup red candy melts

Instructions

  • You are going to want to melt your chocolate as directed. I do temper the chocolate by using a silicone bowl or plastic bowl. Or you can warm the chocolate with a double boiler.
  • Pour some of the chocolate into the candy mold, and then add in any mix-in candies if you want.
  • Top the rest of the chocolate in the mold. Then lightly tap to release the air bubbles.
  • Allow the chocolate bars to set up.
  • Then you can melt candy melts, and pour in a piping bag and drizzle on part of the chocolate bar. Then top with crushed peppermints and more.

Notes

Type of Chocolate and temp for tempering
White Chocolate & Milk Chocolate - 87°F to 88°F
Dark Chocolate and Semi-Chocolate - 88°F to 91°F
You will heat the chocolate watching the temperature to ensure it stays in the proper range.
