Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears

Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears are chewy, sweet, and coated in a milk chocolate. It takes no time to make these chocolate gummy bears. A quick and easy snack that is so easy to make.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 bag gummy bears 5 ounce bag

Instructions

  • In a microwave safe bowl, add your chocolate chips and shortening.
  • Heat for 30 seconds and then stir, and repeat until the chocolate is fully melted.
  • Then add a few of your gummy bears into the chocolate, and toss around to fully coat the gummy bears.
  • Shake off excess chocolate and place on a parchment or wax paper lined tray.
  • Let the chocolate set up for around an hour. Then enjoy your chocolate covered gummy bears.

Notes

Storing - Store your chocolate gummy bears in an airtight container or bag for 2-3 weeks at room temperature. 
Freezing - You can freeze these gummy bears in chocolate for 3-4 months. 
Gummies - Use cinnamon bears, gummy worms, or any other gummy candies as well as gummy bears if you want. 
Chocolate - Any flavor of chocolate works. I used a milk chocolate.
