Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 3 ounce blue Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup Vodka
  • 20 Gummy Bears
  • 20 Peach Rings or Life Saver Gummies

Instructions

  • Start by heating up the 1 cup of water. You can warm it up in the microwave for 2 minutes, or heat on the stovetop in a pan.
  • With your boiling water add in the blue raspberry Jello and stir for 2 minutes or until the gelatin is dissolved.
  • Next add in the vodka and 1/2 cup cold water. Stir to combine the ingredients together.
  • Place your plastic containers on a baking tray with an edge, and then pour the Jello into each 2 ounce cup.
  • Place the lids on each cup and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Once the Jello is set up, remove lids and place a Peach ring in the center. Some I had to gently pull to stretch the centers out a bit.
  • Place the gummy bear in the center, and then serve up your homemade summer jello shots.

Notes

Jello - You are welcome to use any flavor of Jello you want. I did blue to mimic water.
Vodka - I used Skyy vodka, but you can use any brand. Or even try a flavored vodka to elevate the flavor even more.
Non-Alcoholic - Swap the vodka with cold water if you would like to make a kid-friendly jello treat.
Alcohol - You can add up to 2/3 cup of vodka to the Jello shots recipe. Much more and it can cause the jello to not set up. If you do 2/3 cup vodka, then add 1/3 cup cold water, not the full 1/2 cup water.
