Easter bunny cheeseball is a dessert cheeseball made with cream cheese, cake mix, coconut and decorated to look like a bunny butt. This easy Easter appetizer or dessert is one you have to try for yourself this Easter.
To make the bunny butt dessert, start by combining cream cheese, sugar, and cake mix in a large bowl until evenly distributed. Then, add sprinkles and white chocolate chips to the mixture and stir until combined.
Next, use the dough to form a large ball for the bunny's body, two medium-sized balls for the feet, and one small ball for the tail. Roll the dessert balls in shredded coconut until they are fully covered.
To assemble the bunny butt, place the two medium-sized balls for the feet on a serving plate or cutting board and shape them with your hands. Add the small ball for the tail and press all three balls gently into the large dessert ball until they stick.
Finally, add pink M&M's to create the bunny's paws by placing them "m" side down. Chill the bunny butt dessert until you're ready to serve it. It goes well with graham crackers and/or vanilla wafers.
Notes
Heat Treat Cake Mix: Place cake mix in a thin layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 5 minutes. Then allow the cake mix to fully cool. This will kill off any bacteria on the raw flour. Coating Cheeseball: You can use white chocolate that is shaved to roll in the cheeseball if you don't want to use coconut flakes. Cake Mix: Any flavor of cake mix works. From funfetti, yellow, or even a strawberry flavored cake mix. Refrigerate: Refrigerate the leftovers or until ready to serve in a covered container.
