Ingredients

  • 1 16.5 ounce package chocolate chip cookie dough, or make homemade
  • 1 can of buttercream frosting 12 ounce jar
  • 3-4 drops green food coloring
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate candy melts
  • 24 almonds
  • Sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then grease your mini muffin tin and set aside.
  • Next you will take your raw cookie dough and place in each muffin tin. Press it down a bit leaving the center dipped in a bit.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until the cookie cups are baked all the way through. Place on cooling rack to cool.
  • Now melt your white chocolate and place in a squeeze bottle or piping bag. Then make a goal post for each cookie cup. A total of 24 needed.
  • Then add food coloring to your tub of frosting, then place the frosting in a piping bag with a 233 grass Wilton tip.
  • Once the cookie cups are fully cooled pipe with frosting. Then place the hardened white goal post in the center back of each cup. Be gentle as the chocolate is fragile.
  • Then place the almond on the cup to mimic a football, and then add some sprinkles if you want.
  • Serve and enjoy these football cookie cups.

Notes

Cookie - You are welcome to use any flavor of cookie dough. Make homemade or use store bought.
Frosting - I used buttercream frosting, but you can use any flavor you want. I find that the buttercream was a delicious pairing.
Sprinkles - Use any color of sprinkles you want. Add on festive sprinkles to match your favorite team.
Goal Post - For the field goals, you will just pipe it the best you can. They don't have to be perfect.
